When to connect subframes?
Hey guys, how's it going? Newb on this forum but part of several others. I have searched through the forum, cannot find the answer I need...at what point is it necessary to install subframe connectors? What power level is too much for the factory car? I have a 1984 Trans Am with T-Tops, 355 with mild cam, 700R4 with a 2500 stall, no posi rear and sticky tires yet but will this winter. I've heard the T-Tops twist easy but not sure how true that is. Any help or direction to a thread I overlooked is greatly appreciated! Hoping to start the car for the first time this weekend.

You will notice an improvement right away if you drive hard.

Re: When to connect subframes?
I have a 89 GTA with Ttops and I think power level is not the consern. I can hear the body twisting just getting out of the garage. the real question is how hard are you going to drive your car?
I belive that if you have the money you should do it no matter how powerfull your car is or is not. I haven't done it because I can't afford it write now. so the take on this is to drive your car and if you are not happy with how it handles put them on because they will help.

I'm a very spirited driver, so do believe I will invest in a set. Thank you!

Re: When to connect subframes?
get a tubular set, that way down the road if you ever decide to put a cage in the car you can tie the D bars into the sfcs and still be legal. Wish somebody had told me that a long time ago when i bought the stupid boxed ones
