Looking for Ideas for a fiberglass hood for my T/A
I am going to make an other fiberglass hood for my Tran Am. I've already made one with a L88 cowl and I'm not happy with it now. So looking for some new Ideas, I don't want a regular cowl hood or any of the ram air styles , If so I would buy one, I'm thinking maybe a hood with a scoop from the 67 stingray either with the stinger budge or with out, And I'm not going to do a power bulge hood or stock T/A hood.
I've got all my supplies to build a custom fiberglass hood, So lets hear some creative idea.

I would love to have a 3" cowl fiberglass GTA style hood (that has those side vents) And the louvers/vents that are on the side of the iroc hood incorporated onto the sides of the cowl.
Perhaps also added, a set of ram air scoops like from the 2nd gen formulas

I've always thought of having a cowl hood suited to the hood lines and a scoop that was flatter than it was tall. Such as:
Do a cowl induction with lines like this ram air:
And add a scoop like the 'stangs have:
Might be better on a Camaro vs. TA tho. Maybe that's why I like that idea so much!

I would like to see a raised power bulge Hood, or a twin power bulge hood

Re: Looking for Ideas for a fiberglass hood for my T/A
I think I have found the style of hood that will fill my needs, it will give me the clearance I need for the intake and CAI piping, As far as I know no one else will have one like it, I will only be making one of these and I think it will compliment the other custom things I have done with the car like the second gen T/A rear spoiler and the widen fender flares.
I won't be building the new hood for another month so I'll still be looking for ideas until then.

I was wondering if you ever got the hood built? If you remember me, I wanted to do that fiberglass ground effects on my car a couple years ago.. never happened, 20 yrs old and was broke. but now that I have a lot more experience with fiberglass, bodywork, paint and have money to invest, Id like to carry it on in a different kind of way...

No, I hate to say. I have just way to many projects at this time to work on my Trans Am. I probably won't get to the T/A until winter when things low down.
