Spoiler removal

Need to pull the spoiler off my '89 formula 350...

it's in really very bad shape...looks good underneath from what I can tell......got a base model wing to replace it with I know it won't be factory correct but I always liked those better anyway..

I'm thinking it should be an easy switch out...

any tips on the remove/replace here? pitfalls to avoid...

thanks

Re: Spoiler removal

Remove the black caps on the very back under your rear hatch, you will see the bolts there, remove them, after you get them out, push up(slide forward) on the hatch. That should do it.As far as putting the other one on,keep your fingers crossed that the holes line up.

Re: Spoiler removal

thanks...the car is gonna need repainting so if I have to do some new holes on the hatch shouldn't be too big a deal I wouldn't think...

car is a 89 ws6 formula 350...very straight and solid...virtually rust free florida car but the clear coat and paint on the hood and roof are baked and shot...

been thinking about trying to do the paint myself...hopefully I won't be getting in over my head...I've done a couple boats and a two motorcycles but this would be the first car...

anybody wanna cheer me on or tell me to quit dreaming on that?

lol

thanks again
