Re: TA fender vents

Purely cosmetic pieces, just like the hood vents.

Re: TA fender vents

Can't you make these functional, say for example, brake cooling?

Possibly. I wouldn't see the point unless you road race.

Re: TA fender vents

For brake cooling, you just need air inlets from the nose blowing onto the back of the rotors. The heat would blow out & through the wheel.

Between the air pressure from the air dam pushing air up into the engine compartment & air flowing over the hood creating a slight "suction" effect? Those will work, assuming that there is a hole all the way through the hood under them & not just through the outer skin of the hood (i mean that the inner bracing is cut out too).

Re: TA fender vents

I think those would look pretty good without the stick on cowl.

Re: TA fender vents

Bumping this as it's the only post about it I've found and I wanted to clear something up.

The fender vents are 100% functional as shown by the dealer brochure.

that's correct! they do vent under hood- hot air. the second gen's being higher up on the fender you could reach out and feel the heat venting
