welcome! im the third person posting on this thread with an 84 camaro. (and second with a z28). i thought this was pretty cool when i heard it."Car and Driver selected the 1984 Chevy Camaro Z28 as the Best Handling Car Built in the United States." theres other info and pics at the camaro tech data. but yeah 84 was the last year with the shorter gfx and bumper too.

Re: New Member - '84 Camaro
Welcome to the '84 club. : ) Have an L69 5 speed here. Is your paint original? Looks really good. If you don't have one already, scour your local junkyard for a IROC steering brace or "wonderbar". Or alternately Spohn and other aftermarket vendors sell new, improved ones for around $50. The bar bolts above your sway bar mounts and adds some much needed bracing in the area, which aids handling to a degree and can prevent cracks near the steering box. Check near the box mounting bolts to verify you don't have tears forming already.
