Formula Hood Question

Hi Guys,
Recently bought a 1989 Firebird and it has a Formula style hood on it with the "bulge" The piece that goes over the hole in the hood is broke. I have attached a picture to show what I mean. Can anyone help me with the name of the piece and where I might find one for purchase? The local Chevrolet garage called it an ornament and gave me part # 103592. However, they do not sell it anymore. Any help would be appreciated. I don't need the hood, just the piece. Also, is there a way to repair this if I am unable to find one? Is seems like cast or some kind of "pressed" metal that would not weld. Or has anyone ever had success with making these fixed and filling them over?
Thanks.

Re: Formula Hood Question

if your familiar with hawksthirdgenparts.com see if they have any or see if they could ship you one from their junkyard. they got a white formula there with that hood and the piece call them and ask how much and how much to get it shipped to you. im currently in the same boat because im looking for that metal honey comb piece that goes inside
