Is my spare front bumper aftermarket?
I bought two front bumpers the past week. One of them (pics attached) looks different than the other. It has a yellow color on back side and raised text which you can see in pic. Funny that it says "made by the colonel's in the good old USA". This bumper feels a lot thicker and sturdier than other bumper which I believe is stock (black on backside). Think I will get both painted so I have a spare.

Re: Is my spare front bumper aftermarket?
What year it is ? The yellow is the color of the bare urethane, my 76, my 79 and my 84 bumpers are like that, but the bumpers of my 89 are made of a greenish dark gray urethane (or maybe it's just dirty black).
It looks original to me.

You can see from pic that it says for camaros 85-92. Person I bought it from marked date of 1/11/95 on the backside. My other spare bumper which I think is from an 88, is black on backside. Either way it feels nice and solid. Original owner sprayed it lacquer paint so I have some more sanding in my future.

Re: Is my spare front bumper aftermarket?
The colonels was an aftermarket bumper company. They used to make all sorts of bumper covers and truck bedliners. As far as I know, the autolign company bought out the bumper portion of the company and the truck bedliner company is still going on under the Rugged Liner brand.
