What metal thickness for floor boards?

need to patch some holes and a 12" by 12" section what thickness do i need?

i dont know exactly but 16 gauge is a pretty safe bet

The bulk of my floor boards measured out to about 22ga.

I used a combination of 16 & 22ga for my repairs...
