Pretty much the same way you get scratches out of paint. Get some really fine buffing compound, like what you would use to remove swirl marks, and buff them out. If you use an electric buffer just be careful and go slow, you don't want to heat up the glass too much in one spot.

I agree with ward, but also you could try wet sanding with really fine grit paper, or Ive even used steel wool, then buff it.

Re: Glass repair
I didnt know you could sand glass lol. And polish it too! I thought only diamonds or something was supposed to cut glass?
Does this mean you could make all the glass in a car look new by wetsanding and buffing?

Re: Glass repair
Yes, you can polish your glass, just like paint. While it is a harder surface than paint, it's no different than polishing pretty much any other hard material, like steel or aluminum. Polishing also works well to remove mineral build up, old sticker goo, etc. Auto glass is tempered though, which makes it brittle (thats why it breaks into tiny squares), and if heated too much in one spot, can crack or shatter.
