Holy ****, are you okay? I hope you can take that bastard for all he's worth, and then some. Make his life hell. I wouldn't be able to control myself. How fast were you going? It looks like you basically got under him like a wedge and tipped him over. How bad is the damage to the unibody? Does it appear to be fixable?

Yeah I'd say the Camaro won that one no matter how you slice it - it's still on it's wheels.

Re: WHAT A CRASH

well i am ok and so is the other guy thats actually him in the pic reahin in to grab some beer cans to toss out before police came. i was going about 35km i think he thought maybe i was goin to slow or something since its a 40 zone and tried to come across before me, its funny cuz i carried him there with the front of my car then parked it the side no problem, that car is one stroing beast, im gonna fight as hard as i can to get her repaired. any how i am goning to pick up a rental today and hopefully an adjuster can come see it soon, but most likely not till monday, theres no way im gonna let them total my baby,

thanks guys, chris

Re: WHAT A CRASH

Glad you're okay, you definitely owned that mazda.

On the bright side though it looks like you needed a couple of fenders to start with judging by the rust in that third pic, lol. I don't think the paint on the hood should have separated like that either where the top layer just completely came off and the other was fine. Take it to a better shop next time.

I hope you got pictures of him actually holding a beer because I can only see a pepsi can in that picture.

Re: WHAT A CRASH

Glad to hear you're okay. Get yourself checked out for the injuries as soon as possible. Insurance companies will try to weasel out if they think you were injured elsewhere.
The car definetly looks fixable the rad support seems to be the only real structural damage and they can either weld a new one in or repair it like they did mine when I hit the deer doing 120km/h. It is amazing what kind of hit these cars can take up front though as you'rs was still drivable.

Re: WHAT A CRASH

Looks like its actually a good thing that it was a small pick up. 1) it was light enough for you to push him...lessening the impact, and 2) you scooped him from underneath...instead of smashing right into him.

Might have shoved the "frame" horns right under the truck, and the chassis could have been left relatively undamaged. Atleast I hope so.

Hope your neck pains arent anything serious...you shoudl definetly try to get what you can from the guy. If it were me, he would have been both alc drunk and punch drunk by the time the cops go there. No idea where his black eye and broken nose came from officer..steering wheel perhaps??? haha.

Good luck bro!

There is no way an insurance adjuster will give you over 4 grand to fix it man. Its totaled if thats what the body shop says it needs. You might want to take it to another shop to get a second opinion.

Yea, good luck with all that. I did the same thing when some damn woman totalled my 84 Trans Am for me. I had all the receipts from work, and the only thing it needed was a paint job. New suspension, motor, tranny, rear, etc etc etc .... Insurance came back and said, "Here's $3000, final offer, have a good day."

If it was truely an accident, I would say..."stuff" happens - glad you guys are ok. But...this guy was drunk and had drugs?! Screw him! Sue his butt for everything you can! This was COMPLETELY avoidable! Sorry for the rant, but I have lost a few friends to drunk drivers.

That sucks... Most importantly, you're ok and the car looks fixable....

I'm legally blind (no diver's license) but am working on a Kitt replica (insert joke here)....

You can only imagine what it's like living your life not being able to drive, for work, for social or just runnin to the store or corner food joint...

People with DUI's get multiple chances... kinda like a dart board, see how many you can take out this time... Let them walk or pay for transportation for the rest of their lives... like I have to...

Re: WHAT A CRASH

yea i know the word crash is the olny way i could have described it at the time it was no accident, an this guy seems like a real *****, right now i cant rele do much in the form of suing until i get my x rays an stuff back and insurance lets me know wuts gonna happen with my car, but i would love to make sure this dude never drives again, cuz it is unfair for drivers like this to get multiple chances to take other peoples lives

Re: WHAT A CRASH

These cars are worth more then people think, my buddy just got 1 roach of a iroc, payed 3 grand for it, and it needs endless body work and eletrical work. I sold 2 86 irocs which where great origional condition both high miles but great running , could use paint to be show. Got 6 for 1 and over 7 for the other. These are worth there wait in gold. Harder to find in good shape, now the trans am's have to catch up. Mabe its just buffalo ny were they are worth money, its near imposible to find a solid f body around here.
Sorry about your car man, nice to hear there not going to total it out.

man that is a shame. i hope you dont have herniated discs. i have one in my lower back, L4/L5, and it is not pleasant. ive been living with mine for 3 years now and it just sucks since im only 21 years old now. im trying my best to avoid surgery and epidural shots. do you have any pain that runs down your leg? that's a sign of disc problems. keep us posted on your car, i would hate to see a beautiful 3rd gen head to the yard bc of some irresponsible ***hole!!!

you might want to get the surgery before you get nerve damage if its that bad. i went a little over a year with one before i had surgery, and i have slight nerve damage. just FYI...

wow that really sucks that your car got hit like that, But at least it does look fixable. They are tough cars hell my old doors that use to be on my car are strong after laying on the ground for a year they have been hit by the bob cat several times and I took my moms mini van and kept ramming into it and I have been chucking heavy things on top of it. Total damage.. a few small dents some paint missing (cheap paint to) and a broken window. Anyway good luck fixing your car

Oh and here a pic for proof

Had the same thing and it healed after a couple of months. Dont go under the knife, you will nevere be the same. Sound like a syatic nerve, could be strained. Good luck. For you guys talking about the cars worth, he lives in Canada.

Re: WHAT A CRASH

as far as your car i would suggest having the body work done at that place if you trust them, but maybe take it somewhere else for paint, doing paitn is a very finiky process and you want a place that is going to really make ti turn out fantastic

let me know when the cars back up and running man, go for a cruise down in the T. im just up 20 min notrh of the city in makrham, well 20 min in my camaro

Re: WHAT A CRASH

my aunt was in an wreck like that in her (now mine) camaro about ten years ago and the only thing keeping them from totaling it was that it only had 30k miles on it but the wrecker guy said that if she braked 8in earlier she would have stopped... but good luck and they should put that guy under the jail... bastard

that is exactly why i havent gotten surgery. ive heard so many mixed reviews about going under the knife, it is all kind of scarey.

iroc, if you do have disc problems, your in a position where you can sue (can u sue in canada???) unlike me where my injury happened my freshman year in college at football camp.

Re: WHAT A CRASH

Glad to hear for the most part you are OK. As for your injuries, Get A Second Opinion! Back surgery can be tricky and with your young age, therapy may be the answer. Donot let doctor's make decisions for you. Look at all the options and decide what is best for you. Therapy is harder and takes time. Surgery is permanent. I have "been there, done that" and you need to get info from various doctors. I don't know about the quality of Health Care in Canada, but I live near Houston and it has one of the finest Medical Centers in the country. Had I listened to my first doctor after a auto accident(rear-ended)and had the surgery he wanted me to have, I would have been screwed for life. I got a second opinion and took therapy for 6 months and was fine. Point is: There are good and bad doctors everywhere. Hope you get to feeling better. Badman
