quarter panel replacement?
hey guys, im really not sure if i posted this here before, however when i search it brings back the error cannot search until 90 sec has expired.. and no im not double clicking nothing. .its messed up... regardless...
my rear quarters are the final piece of the puzzle of putting my car back together.. the lower part of the fenders are rotten and ive cut most of the rot out so it wont spread so fast...

now that i need to install both sides.. i still gotta cut the full quarter out...
i found a good set of quarters at a scrap yard.. im going to cut them out saturday.. yes i know its not smart to use old panels however.. the only panels icna get are 150.. cheap... but the metal is so weak and thin its not worth the bs... so i decided to cut a good set out of another camaro.. ( so you know the camaro im getting them off are BRAN new.. they even have the vin number that gm put on the inside of the panel when this guy got them 6 months ago...)
my question is... is it really that hard to line it up properly? i dont want any issues when ive started.. not that it matters so much.. but moreso am i walking into quicksand?? or should it be pretty easy from this point on?
thanks for any info..
regards
Douglas

That really depends on how skillfull you are.
In all honesty... for the first attempt I did, basically knowing nothing of the process (yet having welding & fab exp), it's wasn't too bad.
Though I did a ½ quarter splice, when you remove the doner skin.. you will get the best feel for what it will take to replace it on your car.
Just my opinoin though..
