i was at work today and i had a thought hit me. we have this ceiling tile that we can special order that looks exactly like diamond plate, it just so happens that someone returned 3 pieces of it. i thought about buying it and and using it to trim around the gauges and around the shifter in my iroc. it's pretty thin but fairly strong too so i figure it would be easy to work with and considering a 1'x2' piece of real diamond plate is $45, alot cheaper too.let me know what you think (be gentle) lol

Sign shops offer a diamond plate vinyl material that looks exactly like it for a lot less $$, and it cuts easier too!

i can probably get all three 2'x2' pieces for around $5 or $10

ok, i ended up getting this stuff for free. what would you guys suggest to trim around the edges of it, i don't want it easy to peel off. if anybody is interested in what it looks like then i can post pics
