steering wheel replacement
i want to install a steering wheel that will let me see the instrument panel (bulky airbag in the way) also was wondering if anyone went with the smaller size 11.5 inch if there would be any problem or steering issues. the stock wheel also hits my leg when i am getting in or out of the car.

If you remove the OE steering wheel with the air bag and replace it with an aftermarket wheel, you might want to remove the light from the cluster that will warn you that the restraint system is disabled... Also, not sure how your insurance company will treat you if you have discounts for the air bag restraint, you remove it, then forbid you have an accident and something bad happens.

Already removed the bulb when replacing bad ones. will the smaller wheel make much difference with steering/control?

my wheel is 13" i think (stock bird is 15" right?) and i notice slightly increased force neede to turn the car. feels less liek power steering. not by a lot, but enough to notice. i kinda like it. i wish the wheel was bigger around though, now it blocks my view of guages PO installed it.
