91Z28 110-145 MPH speedo conversion

Is this a difficult task? I have the Haynes and Chiton's manuals and removing the cluster doesn't look to difficult for someone with my limited skills, but is there anything difficult involved?

Good, the speedometer is already a ways off and I didn't need any further headaches After all, I am still an aspiring gearhead.

I am still awaiting on my 145 MPH unit to arrive. I've been looking at pics of them and it seems like the 130 marker is about where the 110 is on mine. The speedo already needs to be adjusted due to a 3.42 LS1 rear being put into the car, and I wonder if I take it somewhere to be adjusted if they can just fix it in one adjustment?

The speedo is not adjustable. You will need to change the speedo sender in the transmission.

How much would that cost? I have a T56 transmission and as soon as I get this 145 MPH unit in I would llike to have it reading accurate. I though that 91 cars used a dakota digital box and it would just require some programming? I am actually pretty stupid when it comes to stuff like this though so I could be WAY off.

I was assuming you were using an oem transmission, AFAIK you will need a DD box to translate.
