4thgen dash fuel gauge question

Car: 1991 Z28
Engine: 5.3 Gen III SBC
Transmission: 4L80E NTC 258mm Stall
Axle/Gears: Trick Chassis 9" 3.50 S-Strac
4thgen dash fuel gauge question
Sorry I didnt know if i should post it here or the Electronics board. I figured more people on this board would be more helpful.
Im putting a 98 cluster in my dash swap and I have searched but never really found a solution to the 98+ fuel gauge to get working. I know they run off of a different resistance range than ours, but how did you get around that?
Any help would be awesome. I have to get the car running soon. I can't take the cold weather on a motorcycle.

Well I could not get my hands on a 97 cluster. And I rather not have a T/A cluster (I dont like the red lights)
Custom X and others have claimed to have used a 98 cluster but I have not seen how they overcame the problem.

well i switched out the gauge with one from a 90 gauge cluster and put it in. still no worky. when i plug in my sending unit the gauge goes straight to E (no resistance) with both of the gauges. so I think there is a resistor on the circuit board or something?

The newer gauge senders are 0 empty 250 full, your stock thirdgen sender is 0 to 90, good luck modifying the resistance.
