the ones near the top of the hood by the windshield are held in by a friction clip. Look under the hood with a trouble light and look through the holes under the upper vents to see which side the friction clip is on. that is the side you want to gently pry up on with your puddy knife.
I think that the front vents bolt in. You will have to look underneath to see how.

Yeah, the front vents have 2 plastic nuts a peice/per grill. Don't ask me how they get the inside nuts off, I could'nt get a socket up in there. I had to take mine out when I was having my hood made, cut out the metal to get "a little" air flow going through the vents to help with the under hood heat. Once the hood was completely done, we urethaned them into place. Once you get the nuts off the front grills there are 2 tabs/per grill at the back that actually slide underneath the hood to keep the back of the grill from popping up-be careful not to break these as well.

yeah the fronts are what im having a problem with mostly, I can get the nut on the outside off but the hole in the metal for the inside one is too small to get anything onto it, i think ill just end up making that hole bigger
