Fibergalssing: how to ?

I need some minor repairs to my '91 RS. When I bought her she already had a crack in the front end spoiler. Then wouldn't ya know it a fence and a tree ran out in front of me one day in the snow. But no problem it just cracked the front end a little more, but nothing extra. Then this weekend I didn't see this Focking snow bank in a dark parking lot and I swiped the front spoiler, and detached the corner of the front spoiler that was already cracked. anyway I was wondering if anyone knows how to fiberglass, or if there is a website that would be good to look at ? Lemme know.

The GFX aren't fiberglass, using fiberglass to repair them would be a bad idea.

They're molded from a flexible plastic. Body shop supply stores sell a two part epoxy material from 3M designed specifically for repairing molded plastic body parts. The GM/Helms shop manual for your car also shows the exact process and tools needed to perform the repairs. Unless you're somewhat experianced in this kinda thing, I wouldn't recommend experimenting on your car. You'd probably be further ahead to get a new front spoiler from a junkyard.

yeah I though about a used one, but you still have to paint it, which would cost more still then to try to fix it myself. so apoxy huh ? So does anyone know how to do that ?

I would just check out the boneyards... they will probably have the spoiler peice you need for dirt cheap and will look much better than a 'glassed up stock peice.
