Okay guys, I've tried everything, armoral, eagle 1 tire shine, mothers back to black. What can i do to make them shine, like i see on tv. Really shinny like miror finish. Is there a trick to it, do i need to put more coats on?

I liked using Tire Wet Black Magic or something like that. And the Armorol Aerosol kind worked good. I've given up on tire shine though, it always ends up splattered on my paint from driving and I even let it sit and dry.

I use Z2 Zaino on them...Really, I use a seperate applicator for the tires, and it works really well...

Rubber is not supposed to shine. If you want a high gloss shine, paint 'em!!! Seriously, why would you want extreme shine from tires? They should be black, a clean black. Use some simple green and a little cold water and it will remove all the brake dust and grime, leaving your tires black!! In the below picture, my tires are just clean. I don't use anything on them.

As for the tires shining, they look a **** load better with a shiner. Before I bought, um... lemme check... Black Magic Tire Wet gel, I always liked the gel compared to spray. Before I had that, I used some type of dealer stuff that was good for rubber and other things, and shined up the tires real good. Plus since it was good for rubber, I'm sure it helped out the sidewall . My advice on cleaning it would be, when cleaning your car, also clean the tires with the soap you use to wash your car. Then rinse off with water. Dry them with towel. Let them dry further from the air. Then lastly before applying the gel, rub the whole tire with a dry towel to get any excess, loose rubber off (making sure the gel will bond to rubber that will stay, not come off). Then apply the gel, wait the whatever minutes it tells you, then you're set!
---BTW a lil FYI, I even clean my rims and tires during the winter, I hate seeing my car dirty but I can't bring out the hose during these temperatures. So I just clean the rims and tires, its amazing how much better the car looks whether its dirty or not, just as long as the rims and tires are clean. But hey if ya find a good day to clean it during the winter, take it! Also, I use Meguiars wheel cleaner for my rims.

If you want real shiny, Tire Wet works great. If you want semi-shiny, the EagleOne tire protectant works good. Other brands work good too. I never thought about using my Zaino on my tires... nah, too expensive for that.

No matter what brand you use, get some EagleOne applicators. They are one of the best detail items I've ever used.

As a side note, I use the EagleOne tire protectant on all of my interior plastic. I have used it since the day I bought my car new, and all of my interior plastic is still perfect after 16 years. My car was always parked outdoors until 1999. Not too shiny, and it soaks in real good, and doesn't leave an oily residue like many protectants. It doesn't eat the grain (texture) like armorall does either.
