August 2017 COTM **Winner**
ORR!!!
Congratulations, Orr89RocZ! You are TGO's August 2017 COTM Winner. I am pleased to see that the Third Gen Community will be represented by such a potent, badass car.
Frankly, any one of this month's nominees would have done us all proud. Thanks to all who made the nominations, and congratulations to all who were nominated. This was a great month for COTM.
I'm not sure what happened with in the voting - it looked as if Orr was bringing up the rear, then next thing I know, he's rocketed to the front. Turbo lag, I guess.
As for this month's winner, I can personally attest to the fact that Orr89RocZ has a wealth of experience in the area of high performance and forced induction, and, he generously shares his knowledge without condescension.
Most importantly, his '89 IROC is a 1,000+ horsepower monster that is seemingly in a constant state of transformation, pushing the envelope of performance and giving us a peak at the wild side of what our Third Gens can do.
Owned this car since 2003. It was bone stock then. Now almost entirely aftermarket or custom

Glad to see a race car win again. Doesn't happen often. Baddest car we'll see all year, I'm sure. 👍

Just some vids of car in action i figured i'd share
60-120 pull
Hot day grudge racing 8.51
8.29 pass
This was my best 1/8 mile pass ever on route to a 8.1x 17x mph run til i popped a cold side coupler around the 1000 ft mark. Coasted 8.26

That car is so freaking composed that it looks like an eighth mile run but then you realize it's quarter mile.

Sorry, I ain't been in these here threads for awhile, but your 1200HP car had my highest regard when I first joined ThirdGen because it is a killer at the track AND also streetable (thanks for the vids).
