Epic Craigslist Ad of the Day.....

Another board I belong to has this thread and some of the submissions are pretty funny. Post the funny, rediculous and idiotic third gens you find on Craigslist. Probably better if you leave off the contact info & mods feel free to move this if I've placed it in the wrong location.

Here are a couple in my area....yellow seems to be in for the mod crowd.

http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/cto/5035012394.html

1988 Chevy Camaro IROC Z
New yellow leather interior
450 horsepower Special cams,,,pistons and new 350 small block chevy Engine
New battery...and other items!!!!
Very fast car. Classic!!!!!!!!!
Email for location in Ct.
Serious. Inquiries ONLY
9500....

And then there is this one - how this ended up in Queens & not Maine I'll never know!

Is it bad that part of me likes this?

http://newyork.craigslist.org/que/cto/5022530622.html

I have a one in a kind 1987 Camaro Iroc-z. The car is lifted on a K-5 Blazer and has a 350 motor. Mechanically the car is in great shape. The car has won many car shows and has been featured in a few magazines for its uniqueness. The paint on the car is not perfect but the car definitely stands out. If i had a dollar for every picture taken of this car i would be a millionaire!

I don't see how this is Appearance and Detailing related. I also don't see where this will go very well after a few posts.

Feel free to move it wherever you like Scott or delete it if it doesn't suit you.

My Parking lot Paparazzi thread was moved to this section - that's why I chose it.

Is there a way we could add a "General Chat...BS section" for stuff like this?
It could be worth looking into.

I think it's been done in the past and always ends up spiraling down into something not family friendly.

Re: Epic Craigslist Ad of the Day.....

I can't move things around unless they are on the History forum. I'm not a moderator of all forums.

I'm just trying to understand the TGO layout. Many of the forums don't make sense. The Appearance and Detailing section rarely ever discusses detailing techniques and products. After seeing how many other forums are laid out, the topics definitely have a place to go. Here, they don't. It's a free for all!!!

Re: Epic Craigslist Ad of the Day.....

I understand.
I think we all end up getting "off topic and derailed" a lot.

OK, but for the DETAILING..........I would use Adams Brillant Glaze on that 4x4 IROC

That yellow would shine!!

LOL!

Most forums have a Lobby section for items like this. Rules & moderating keep it civil. Usually if you keep religion & politics out of them, they survive.

Kyle Busch would like that one. Nice!

And to keep that windshield clean, use Adams Mirror Glass Sealant!

Maybe we need a separate topic in the forum just for post like this entitled "What Not To Do To Your 3rd Gen."

Re: Epic Craigslist Ad of the Day.....

I think this will fix that problem! and only $327!! maybe need the larger kit though

This is the kit used when a professional finish is desired to Dip your small car. This Kit comes with the DYC DipSprayer™ System, 3 Gallons of Rubber Dip Spray (ready to spray) , 1 roll of Blue Tape, a DipWasher®, 2 DipYourCar.com Decals, a mixing stick, 1 Dip Guard, Paint Stirrer and Microfiber Towels. A must have for someone who wants to save the time and have a perfect and even finish.

Standard kit provides a Matte finish. Add gallons of DipPearl TopCoat to achieve Glossy finish when sprayed as final top coat and Satin finish when mixed with DipPearls.

Upgrade to Plus Kit to add 3M Respirator, Tape & Drape and PreDip Spray.

* Not available for purchase in CA. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions page for more details.

Product Tips:

- Fluorescent Colors (Monster Green, Firebelly Orange, Hot Pink and Fluorescent Purple) require a white base coat and, may begin to fade after prolonged UV exposure.

- When using Red - we always suggest a Gunmetal Grey base to ensure product performance.

- When dipping a white car, use a Gunmetal Grey base coat under any color

**Colors recently transitioned to new Plasti Dip Spray formula: Anthracite Grey, Black, Black & Blue, Black Cherry, Blurple, Camo Green, Camo Tan, Electric Lime Green, Firebelly Orange, Flex Blue, Gunmetal Grey, Intense Teal, Koi Orange, Light Blue, Matte Clear, Red, White, Yellow**
