84 Trans Am rear emblem fell out?

84 Trans Am rear emblem fell out?
...Or was it stolen?
So, the other day I open my garage and notice that the Firebird emblem from the back of my Trans Am is gone. Has anyone ever had theirs fall off? There doesn't seem to be any signs that someone pried it off. At the same time I find it hard to believe that it just fell off. It seems those emblems are stuck on pretty good. Also, besides being at my mechanics recently, the car isn't left out, so I can't imagine when someone would have had a chance to steal it.
Anyone have any experience either way?
Oh, and anyone know where I can get a silver emblem for an 84 TA or have one they want to sell?
All the repro ones seem to be for 85+
