GRNGRYOUTMYWAY, if you're out there, and those who nominated him, my appologies. i was unable to locate that Member by that user name. i made several attempts and also tried variations of the user name that was given. if i cannot locate the member, then i cannot confirm that he is an active member, nor can i get information about his vehicle, nor can he be relied upon to post information on his vehicle.
sorry about that.
*EDIT* was able to work around the issue. grngryoutmyway is back in the competition.

Hey guys, thanks for the nomination!
Just got a PM from Dave, (Linson), to put something up on my car. I'm the original owner, special ordered the car new and now has about 11K miles. It's a G92, LB9, T5, N10 dual cat, 3.45 BW 9 bolt, DX3 decal delete, hardtop.
Here's a few more pics.

Re: Poll: July 2014 COTM **Voting**
Wow - some truly tough competition this month. I am honored to be nominated. Anyway - I bought my 82 Recaro when I was 16 way back in 1989.
She sat for many years while I was raising a family and priorities changed. A few years ago I had to make a decision as to what to do with her. I decided to do a mild resto and have her painted and refresh the interior.
Here she is in the paint shop.

Glad you got him in, it's only fair. You using the site search engine? Because it sucks. Use google and type thirdgen.org/whatever you're searching for.

Thanks for the nomination!
I've had this car for about 3 years and have put a lot of work into it. I built this car to be a fun weekend cruiser/show car. I wanted to make it quick enough to be fun to drive but still get good gas mileage, have ac, and be reliable enough I could drive it anywhere. This past winter I installed a LS1/4l60e from a 2002 Camaro to give me the performance and drivabilty that I wanted. The car is a blast to drive now, I've had a lot of fun with the LS swap. I tried to keep the engine swap stock appearing(minus the exhaust) to make it look like it came from the factory that way. The interior and gauges are all stock too and fully operational.

Re: Poll: July 2014 COTM **Voting**
Hey I'm here guys. Thank you for the nomination, I was not aware and feel honored to even be up there for voting. My car is a 92' RS (now converted exterior to Z) that I bought from the original owner in 02' and used as a daily driver/resto mod up until Dec 12' when she got hit and the front end ripped off of the car. I spent the next 6 months stripping the whole car down to bare metal, doing body work and respraying the car in my garage. Then I spent about a year nit picking it and buffing it out until I finally got it how I wanted it. After that she got to retire and spends her days in the garage and putting around to car shows and cruising on the weekends. Thanks to all who have helped me on this site over the years, I'm truly grateful to be a part of this communinty, and I my car certainly would not look like this if it weren't for all of you. Here's some details
-iForged Aero 3 piece wheels
-C5HD Brakes (dual piston calipers and drilled/slotted 13" rotors)
-Rear disc conversion with Thorsen posi and 3.23 gears
-LO3 with open element and ultimate TBI mods (going LS soon!)
-4th gen leather, and hand made (by me) aluminum dash kit
-Full performance suspension; Eibach Sportline Springs, KYB AGX Shocks, Hotchkis weld in SFCs, trailing arms, and adjustable panhard bar, BMR adjustable torque arm, wonder bar, Energy Suspensions poly bushings, poly engine and trans mounts, sway bar end links
-Custom Billet Z28 Emblems by FSTFBDY and custom Billet Grill and Hood inserts by me
Pre Wreck @ The Gathering
Repairs
From a couple weekends ago
Close up of body color polished aluminum emblem
Interior shot
Wheels/Brakes
Shot next to my all time fav car
Here is a link to my build thread if you would like some more info. Feel free to PM me if I can be of some help with your cars and thanks again!

My Vote: 82tarecaro's 1982 Recaro Edition Trans Am...
Lot of really great cars this month, and Yes, I am biased towards Recaro T/A's in general, but Vince really did a hell of a job restoring that Rare Beauty to better than Day 1 and he even retained and slightly modified her Crossfire 305... something very few people would even consider these days. He also deserves a TON of credit for having 100% "Correct" decals and stripes made because none of the current ones out there for ''82-'84 cars are actually "Right" if you compare them to the original GM ones... He has done a lot for people restoring '82-'84 Trans Ams in general, and has contributed greatly for those looking to properly restore Recaro T/A's... rare cars that are becoming even rarer each year.

Re: Poll: July 2014 COTM **Voting**
Thanks for the nomination. 2nd time for me, its nice but I do consider my car a nice driver .
That makes it hard to compete with true show cars that aren't driven a much or as hard.
I've had this car since 91 or so, bought it from the original owner and have driven it all over the country, Bristol, Atlanta ga, FL plus many more states getting a best of 27mpg (stock with SLP stuff and lowest of 22mpg (untuned currently).
The car currently has a 454 sbc with afr 245s, solid roller, mini ram, long tubes, tube K, custom front bumper support, 4 corner aluminum hat 13" Bear brakes, 96 Ram Air wheels I bought new from GM, 700r4 and a aluminum center section ford 9". Interior has white face gauges, gauges in the hood, 92 GTA leather, S&W roll bar and tons more little stuff, like 20 year old paint...
Don't think it doesn't look to bad for paint that old..

Re: Poll: July 2014 COTM **Voting**
Havent voted until now because I had a really hard time deciding. My 3 favorite type cars are all nominated-82 blk/gold, TTA and a Formula 350.
All the nominated have GREAT cars, but ulitmately went with the 82 Recaro TA of Vincent. As already mentioned, he went above and beyond with his resto. I am sure if I ever get to see this beauty in person, it will look MUCH nicer than the day it left the showroom.
Good luck to all this month!
