Re: Novermber COTM *voting* 2013
I guess Ill post first, I feel honored to be up for this, thanks Travis! This is my 1986 sport coupe. This is my first car and I have a ton of time and hard work into it, its made quite the transformation from when I first go it. I have pretty much done a mechanical resto to it, all new brakes, most of the suspension, rebuilt the top end of the engine, custom exhaust, and lots of other little things. it was re painted a few years ago and I try my best to keep it clean as possible, future plans include an ls1/t56, a 2in cowl hood and a set of irocs, enjoy some pics!

1989 Trans Am GTA
26K Original Miles
Black, RPO 41U
Beechwood leather interior
Analog dash
L98, 350 (5.7L)
No performance upgrades. Car even has the original muffler.
I’ve repaired the headliner and headlight motors. Most of my work has been in paint correction/detailing.
Future Plans: Change the fluids and filters. Keep it in excellent condition and operating correctly. Continue detailing it.
There is nothing rare or unique about this car, it is one of thousands. My goal when I bought it was to preserve and keep it in excellent/mint condition.
I am very thankful to be in the COTM voting, it means a lot to me. There are so many excellent cars on this site and I have never considered mine to be one.

Thanks for the nomination, Chazman! It's an honor to be included amongst the nice cars in this thread.
Here's the info on my car:
1991 Camaro
21k original miles, unrestored
B4C Special Service Package
LB9 T5
J65 four wheel disc brakes
Radio Delete
No power anything, no defrost... the only options on this car are performance oriented. It is missing 1LE which only half of the 1991 B4Cs came with.
Knowingly ordered as a B4C through a Chevy dealership in Illinois, never intended for fleet sale; sold privately and eventually made its way to me. The only changes along the way are a window tint from the previous owner, a muffler swap from me, the original tires are sitting in the garage and it's on Firestones, replaced wear and tear parts (shocks, bushings), and a hidden iPod hookup (behind the radio delete panel and tied into the factory speakers - radio delete cars still came with 4 speakers and a harness).
And some extra pictures...
It's not damaged, I blurred out the VIN:

Re: November COTM *voting* 2013
Thanks Danny, for the nomination. I have not been on this site much in the last few weeks, and did not think about checking this section. This year has sort of been a bummer for us. My dad suffered a serious stroke on June 18, and was slowly dying in the hospital for about six weeks. He passed away in early August. We decided to make one last car related car trip this year on the 11th to the F-Body Beach Bash in North Myrtle Beach. Everything at the Beach Bash was great, however some SOB decided to break into my enclosed car trailer that we haul the 86WS6 in. The thief cut the locks off of the trailer doors, and bent up the door latches in the process. They got inside of the trailer, and plundered through the TA. We were lucky as the only thing that the thief broke was the center console lid. The thief also tried to beat a screw driver or something similar through the door on my tow vehicle. They must have gotten scared off because they did not get inside, however the door handle is loose enough, that a few more good hits and it would have broken free from the door, and there would have been nothing to stop them from entering the cab.
If that wasn't enough, someone ran into our trailer on the interstate on the way home. It was a hit and run, so we don't know the identity of the other driver. Lucky no-one was injured and the damage caused was minor. The TA did not suffer any additional damage in the accident. We consider ourselves lucky, as everything could have been much worse. I have been planning to get some good pics of the 86WS6, and the 82WS7, especially the interiors, however, now the 86WS6 is in no condition to be showing off to anyone. I will be working over the winter to bring the car back to good condition again.
One car that should have been in this month's choices is Danny's White Gold Camaro. That car is awesome, flawless, and Danny built it from a shell. Maybe I can keep better track of things and make sure that he gets a nomination next month.
KG Performance's car is very cool! Kevin has done most of the work on this car himself, and the workmanship is second to none. Kevin certainly deserves to have his car picked as winner.
KMC454's car is unbelievably awesome! Besides being a rare model, that car looks like someone stored it in a giant zip lock bag, and just got it out yesterday.
For me, having spent some time around both of these cars and their dedicated owners, the choice is impossible.
There are lots of very cool rides on this tread! Good Luck to the winner.
Charles

What great examples of third gens this month. Tough decision, but voted for the black and gold TA owned by 89TA355SR. Owning 3 white cars, a black and gold TA is in the cards for me someday! Good luck to everyone nominated!

Re: November COTM *voting* 2013
The only thing I can get out is "thank you"!
I am just floored, words can't begin to describe how I feel right now. This is just unreal. I am going to try to say something intelligent, but not sure I can....
Like I said in the original post, I have never considered my car to be one of the best on the site and I still don't. Many of you have been my inspiration and will continue too be. The great thing about this site is you can see awesome modified cars and stock third gens that are both incredible. And, people help each other.
1986Z28Owner: Your car is wicked, very impressive. I predicted you winning this when the nominations were posted. Car is fantastic and I love the pictures.
To all the other car owners in this thread: This was a hell of a COTM Contest, stock/modified is difficult to be in because of the vast differences in the cars. I was blown away by the dedication in these cars this month.
For the voters: Thank you for voting in the poll, especially those that voted for my GTA.
Thank you,
Aaron
