Best Way to Clean Rims?
Picked these rims up and would like to give them a quick clean. Looks like water spots on the clearcoat.
What is the best way to proceed to clean up the rims a bit without stripping off everything and polishing.
May sound like a simple question, but I don't want to damage the rim or the clearcoat.
Suggestions?

Re: Best Way to Clean Rims?
looks like the clearcoat is pretty far gone. i had a set of wheels with the same spotting, a little less really. i had figured the clear was shot. when i took the clear off the spots were still slightly visible. without sanding anything, i used tripoli on a stiff buffing wheel and the spots came out. even brought out a little color in the aluminum. the rubbing compound is worth a shot, but if that doesnt work, the spots may be beneath the clear.
