Car show Showboard/info board
Guys I wanted to show off what I have had being made for my car.
I have wanted a "showboard" to provide information and mods about my car. I typically love to talk about my car more than just point at a sign, but with my family now starting to attend the shows its not as fun for them to sit behind my car and listen to me talk about it, so this handles the questions that may come up as we wander and enjoy other areas of shows.
I saw a link on Facebook for a showboard made by Danny Whitfield for a convertible IROC. His style looked awesome and his prices where in range of what I had seen out there, so I contacted him. After talking a few minutes he was excited to get to work, and I was happy to let him handle it. With a small deposit he got started and within a few days I had the first nibble of what he was starting with...
After a couple more days...
After sending some additional information and pics we started tossing around styles...
*(info about the cars is wrong in these, both of us were aware of this)
with additional pics on the board
It took me quite some times to decide on which style to go with, but after talking with a couple buddies I chose to leave all the additional pics out of the show board. Seemed to be too much going on and made the Spec list very small and hard to read, and also reduced the art size. I figured this is going to be in front of the car, if you want to see the engine take two steps and look inside
This is the final show board...
He also made an art print of the car that I really like as well, and I will likely order after I get the show board in my hands and get it framed.
If you guys have any interest in one, or a automotive print. He is fair on pricing and I'm very happy with his communication and quality.

Do any of you guys have a show board? I'd love to see some other examples?!

Looks great! I'm partial to the second board. I had no idea that you had so many ford parts on your car

I would go with "less is more" for the board. Don't give people a reading assignment. This is something that will be left sitting with your car, so I don't think there's any importance behind listing the obviously visible mods on there. Pick the most significant, unique modifications and aspects of your car that you want people to know and list those.

Thanks guys! I'll post a pic when I get it framed up. The teal one with the Mod list is the one that I chose to have made.

I recently had one made up myself. Yours looks great. I didn't put every single mod on mine though. I may add the smaller mods like you did for some additional "wow" factor

thanks! You should see the art work being done for under my hood. its on some plastic board and almost done being painted. Ive seen some pics of it and its pretty darn cool. It will only be on during car shows and sticks via Velcro

Re: Car show Showboard/info board
Why put a picture of the car on a board that will be sitting in front of the car? Also, why mention what tires you are currently running? You will not be able to buy new tires without buying the same type. I agree that the board should mention options that are not seen while the custom paint, rims, interior, etc are very visible at a show and don't need to be duplicated in print.

Re: Car show Showboard/info board
Welp... Can't please them all. The tires are brand new all the way around and I'm hoping that I don't burn through them faster than I modify other areas. This car is not done, and there will be changes to the list, and I don't mind at some point having to have Danny print me up another, which doesn't cost much to add/remove info.
