Hello, dood here! Ya know...in that last picture, I'd have to agree with you. That paint looks awesome! That can not be the original factory paint job, is it? Your wheels look spectacular as well. What, if anything did you do to them? I don't drive mine with the original wheels/tires because I just don't trust tires that are that old, no matter how good they look. The set of IROC wheels I had refinished didn't come out as I had expected them to. I asked the guy if he re-machined the wheel face to acheive the original finish, and he said yes. When I picked them up, they had a brushed aluminum finish rather than the machined finish they are supposed to have.

Geez, look at me. I replied to compliment your car and wind up writing a book about mine.

Again, that's one exceptional IROC. Just one question though; what is that ugly wedge shaped thing at the top edge of your hatch glass? My 85 doesn't have that.

The paint is about 4 years old now, it's a Dupont PPG polyurethane single stange believe it or not The wheels are original, just always clean

Your car is gorgeous, I just wanted to tell you that. As far as the "wedge on the hatch", I gotta agree with you there...

But that's OK...that car isn't my "baby' anyways Well, it is, but there's a "more-babied baby" in the form of a 19k mile '87 TA, and it has a sweet third brakelight nicely tucked under the aerowing We all know that the Bird's are better lookin' anyways

Looks nice man. I see that your Camaro grill is colored like most others. Mine isn't, as you can see here. Anyone know why that is?

between a 92 Z28(blue), and ohhh.. 89 GTA(black). I would simply go in to convulsions. They're both amazing looking cars. Since I already have a 92 RS, I'll concentrate on it.. when I finish(or start) the engine buildup and swap, I'm gonna spray is a metallic silver with painted gloss black stripes. Then, when I change my name and appearance to hide from the collection agencies of every credit card vendor on the planet, I'm going to find a black GTA with a 5spd.. and let all hell break loose on her too.

birds look more exotic with thier pop up headlights and thier smoother body lines, they also have the nicer interiors and wheels, wheels might be a bit more opinion based though

camaros have an aggressive look but they remind me of hacked up firebirds

3rd gen 'bird wheels look like $hit on a stick compared to the 3rd gen 'maros 85-87 iroc 88-90 irocs and 91-92 z28's the firebirds have no wheels that even puts up a fighting chance!!!

LIKE HELL THEY ARE! LOL

(sorry for the crappy quality pic)

In response to the other questions, the IROC was done with 3M Hand Glaze and Mothers California Gold....ZAINO only goes on the good car, err, I mean the Bird...

I'm kinda depressed right now tho...the new owner just drove the IROC away...

I gotta agree with ImportsRSloths, the firebird wheels don't look nearly as good to me as camaro/iroc wheels. Though I'm a fan of the GTA wheels. The multi-black spoked ones.
