Red and white stripes
I repainted my 88 Firebird and I need to get that type of stripes (the pic is from internet) or how they are called.Any idea from where I can get something like that ,since I'm from Europe and its hard to get parts/decals or any other kind of thingy made for American cars here ?
Also from what I know those stripes were there on stock cars and since I want to keep the car original look I want to know if there are any step by step guides for dummies .How high/low they should be on the the door /fenders and if they should be on the back spoiler since my Firebird had that on it before painting or on the mirrors covers .
Cheers and thanks in advance
P.S.I searched on classic industries and they don't have anything similar so this must be something really really rare

Re: Red and white stripes
Thats called pinstripe. Not sure it's really rare. Being that these cars are so old, most pinstripe tape cracks or peels resulting in the owner removing it altogether. Look for pinstripe tape and you should come up with lots of different colors and sizes.

Re: Red and white stripes
yep, Nothing rare about pinstripe! you can find it practically anywhere. you don't see It on the third gens much because practically no one puts it back on after a repaint (and removes it off original paint) because the cars look cleaner without it...

Re: Red and white stripes
Thanks .I had no idea how to search
I found some vinyl pinstripe tape in Germany and it costs 45€ .If I add more money to that I can buy a third gen in US
Mine was put on the car by GM in 88 and till 2011 remained on the car in pretty good condition ...actually the car had stripes and no paint .
Thank you again .
