After a VERY long hiatus, we are back! Teaser pics inside
After 3+ long years of being off the road, the IROC is finally nearing completion.
Attached below are some teaser pics of the car.
She is about 98% complete. The only things left to do is to finish buffing the paint, install the body moldings, and some other little nick nacks. Don't mind the blue tape on the fenders. It is there to protect the new paint until the 3m tape arrives.
We decided to do the paint in my garage. Along the way, I had some crazy life changes, so that's why it has taken so long to complete the car. As well, this is the first time we have attempted a major paint job and I didn't understand what I was getting into. Doing a proper paint job is definitely something I do not want to do again!
Some of the custom body mods include removal of body insignia, and installation of a 91/92 front spoiler (more aggressive rake than the pre 91 models). There are a boat load of other mods but will update on another thread soon.

That's only half a 91-92 front spoiler! haha It doesn't have the side scoops. Anyway, looks amazing!

Stunning car! Job well done.. one clean convertible! Any shots under the hood, it looks just a nice from what I can see under the louvers
For some reason I want to say this car never sees rain...but i could be wrong
Love it man. Have any issues with water getting on the engine with the hood that way? And where did you buy your IROCs?

Very clean man! Your rims compliment the car but I wonder how a set of chrome would look with the black on black. I plan on doing that with my vert. Pics coming real soon.

In regards to the hood, it will never see rain! This car is only a weekend warrior.
In terms of the wheels, I got them over 10 years ago, but the company has since gone out of business.

I am sure that while driving rain wouldn't be an issue, though might cuase some steam, but I would like to know about when parked?

When you say " filled in side panels" you mean you filled the scoops/holes??

Fricken awesome. Yours is one of the major reasons I originally wanted to get a 'vert thirdgen. How long have you had it now?

Never even thought about that. I may have to try that out. I have filled my emblems, antenna, and rear wiper hole. But I like that rake on that chin spoiler. Looks meaner

My guess, manual operation on the washing.
Most modern engines do not have a problem with the occasional drop of water. When driving inn rain most engines see their fair share.
Since this build looks welle excuted rather then jury rigged, I do not see a lot of harm in spraying the car off with a hose, then cleaning it by hand.
Soaking the running engine, like in a carwash however would be less beneficial I think.

Correct! We filled in the side panels to make it look like a 90' spoiler, but with a more aggressive look.
