Been away for a while...
Hello again everyone! It's good to be back up on here!
Anyway, I'll get to it. Last July (2010) my streets gutter system decided it wasn't going to hold up to the amount of rain that was coming down. Since our wonderful cars sit so nice and low to the ground, even being in the driveway wasn't high enough for it....
oh yeah, and the next day we were leaving for our Honeymoon!
so after the poor thing sat all summer long waiting on insurance to pull their head out of their rear.... can you believe they wanted to give me $375 to shampoo it.... no oil change, rear end, tranny, nothin, just shampoo the carpets and amoral the seats! this is Oklahoma... home of the read dirt, red dirt doesn't shampoo out, it stains! RETARDS!
so i got the carpet and pad replaced, seat foams replaced, and got some cracked plastic pieces replaced with the $$ as well, but since it sat in the heat for like 3 weeks straight with the humidity, my dash pad cracked, they said old age and wouldn't listen to me so now i'm looking for a dashpad out of pocket...
finally back in march i was able to get it in my shop, i already got a new starter, plugs, oil change, tranny serviced, rear end fluid changed, and now i get to do the front bearings that rusted out like crazy!
and now finally today I was able to get it back in the shop to get the hood painted (sun and engine heat fade like none other! it was gray already!) hood is done, new headlights for her so i can see. And finally built my own tower bar. been looking for one, but no way was I paying $150+ for something i didn't even know if it was going to work.... well, it would have been worth the $150 cause i can handle corners like no ones business now! also got to clean and reoil the K&N too. She should be much happier now! took her to Kansas City, MO 2 weeks ago running from the tornados all the way, but she did freakin fantastic! 12mpg but she did awesome!
just wanted to share some pics was all and say glad to be back!
