I want to see pics of shaved bumpers and emblems on hood and gfx. More importantly though I want to know what megthods , steps, and products you used to achieve these results.

Im doin that right now. I wont get my car back for 1 month. Door handles gone, key hole gone, antenna gone, side emblems gone, door molding gone, rear bumper emblems gone and filled in.

There is one white camaro here on the forums who did most of this work already.

I dont have that kind of time nor do I want to risk it. I am having a body shop. I got quote for all that work plus removing everything else, lights, glasses, doors, ground effects etc... full paint job $5,500

I have seen lots of pics. ( I did a search) and I understand and can do the handles, antenna, rear wiper ect on metal. But the second part of my question was products and methods of bumpers and embledms. And only answers I have got in this and other threads so far is " I don't know. Had a shop do it" . I want to do it myself.

or sand down around area, put on some bondo and then sand down and paint?

That is thing. I was thinking bondo but it would be quite deep and I don't know if it would flex like the bumber and stay or if it would crack and look like poo after a while. Also thinking maybe some sort of epoxy?

all we did was pill in the whole with the 3m crack repair stuff and sand it all down

You can be an idiot like me and do it with bondo, LMAO! The rear bumper lasted through the summer, then cracked everywhere. 2 years later the nose emblem still looks good, I actually prepped it and feathered that part though. Didn't like the look of the rear so I'm glad it didn't work out lol. Use a material specific filler, glue or whaterver to get the best results. I forget the things came with nose emblems....

To the project, nice clean chin. I think I would shave everthing except the front emblem, otherwise its tooo naked.

Thanks.....the antenna and doors will get shaved after the engine is finished and I get her down the track a few times for fun.

The body shop did it when they painted the engine bay and new nose clip

Shaved-antenna,gfx emblems,nose emblem,marker lights...

Oh....we used jet black smc filler/glue
beware if u fill in the holes where the rocker emblems are, as thats where the screws go that hold the rocker emblem to the front fender.Also you will have to drill the holes bigger in the fender and tap holes into the backside of the rocker molding, so you can run your bolts from the inside of the fender. :-)
