88 IROC project 69

i own a 88 iroc in near mint condition i was going to sell but have since decided that i want to give it some design cues from the 69 camaros. i am looking for the rally wheels modeled from the 1st gens, and a cowl hood that resembles the 69's the best (i was thinking cervinis), i am looking from feedback from all of you, im open to all ideas and i look foward to sharing the progress with all of you!!

thanks
dom

p.s. i am also lost in the stripes department not exactly sure what to go with rally or hockey?

Re: 88 IROC project 69

I've always wanted to do a "old school looking thirdgen. The 15" rally wheels are timeless, but I think wheel vintiques offers them in modern sizes as well. As for the cowl, Cervini is not the closest to the 69. Glasstek makes a 2" and 4" cowl with the exact same cowl as the 69. Spine up the middle, long hangover over the windshield cowl. ...and as for stripes, I think the rally stripes fit thirdgens better. I think SinisterZ and some others are running hockey stripes, and as beautiful as his car is, I'm not the fan of the hockey stripes on a thirdgen.

...I've also thought about doing an all black interior with black & black/white houndstooth seats. That would be awesome.

Re: 88 IROC project 69

If you own a "near mint" iroc like you say, i wouldnt change anything. These cars are getting harder to find and altering a car like that would ruin it imo. I would just enjoy that car the way it is.
