Have you named your Cars?

Re: Have you named your Cars?
It will have to be much cheaper, I'll still probably have to make the scoop. I have no money but I do have a machine shop and tools. I paid a $1,000 for the car day before it was to be scrapped. I've put $300 in so far doing all the work myself. The paint job should cost under $200. It's more work than I ever dreamed possible. I've been sanding for weeks! Finally getting some paint on it.
This pic is raw paint, before sanding for clear, then it'll be more sanding, clay bar, buffing, polishing and wax.

The Time Machine... it's a good daily driver and all things considered pretty easy on the budget. The best thing about it just might be the original stereo... must have been designed for Southern Rock because it just sounds great!

Re: Have you named your Cars?
This is "Lucky", I saved it from getting parted out, plus I was suppose to have this car done months ago, but still haven't and the other day I got rear ended in my Regal (hardly got damaged but the firebird would have been totaled) So it's lucky I wasn't driving it!

Re: Have you named your Cars?
UUhhh, funny story on this topic here. I didn't "name" her, a typo in a text to my wife kinda stuck.
I was at the body shop as paint was going on my car. Texted my wife "Oh Deb, she's Gina be beautiful" (meant gonna, stupid auto correct) The name stuck, and I hate it!

I'm a girl and my firebird is a girl. Think of it like two best girlfriends. My Jeep is a boy though...

Re: Have you named your Cars?
My old 91 RS was named Christine, before she went to the salvage yard. My current 83 Z28 just recently got named Angel after my old pitbull that used to love goin cruisin around in the RS before they both passed.
