My Friday the 13th, share your stories

I was driving to my friends house to pick him up, so we could head to school, in my camaro. And i live in WI, so yes its winter, but for a couple of days it was like 50 degrees, like it was that day. But my friends driveway is ALL ice. So I slowed down to like 2 mph. But I still slid right into a snowbank at the end of his driveway!
So I got my friend, and we tryed to get my car out, but couldnt. Then a truck pulled over, we didnt know whos truck it was. Then Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (KGB) got out!!!! If you dont know who he is, he plays profesional football with the Green Bay Packers. He helped me and my friend push the car out. After he left i hopped over to my car, i hopped because by this time, i had fallen like 4 times on that d*mn ice, and messed up my knee badly. I had to inspect any damage, but there was none! Thank God!

Now, I concider it my lucky Camaro lol. But I just wanted to share, and ask if you guys could share any cool stories involving your third-gens.

And forgive me for driving my camaro in winter, but like I said, it was like 50 degrees. And all the snow was melted. The only reason my friend had ice in his driveway, is cause he lives in the woods, sooo the sun doesnt melt their snow/ice that well, cause of all the trees.

I live in wisc too. in waukesha to be exact. I had my Trans Am out on that warm day also. gave her a good wash, and took her up to the hwy. People just stared at my car, it was soo clean.. I put new speakers in it that day to. oh I put gas in it to at about 7:00pm and felt warm with no jacket on. That amazed me....

Re: My Friday the 13th, share your stories

it was june 13th friday 2003. a week or so before high school graduation i was 18

my dad just handed over his 1987 5spd camaro. still getting used to stick but was driving 3weeks with no problem.

anyways i too was on my way to pick up a friend. the turn to her street was on the left but up hill on a main road.

i was still uncomfortable with being stopped up hill in a stick. i was worried trying to get goin again i would roll back into someone

so i kept going up to a light and turn around.

on my way back down i just shifted into third, im at the top of the hill still but then notice a 2001 silverado has his brake lights on at the bottom of the hill.

i take a second to look and notice he's not jsut slowing down he's at a dead stop

i try to slow down but it just recently sprinkled/rain nothing worth sniffin at

and i couldnt stop

didnt have time to down shift or whatever, me as a young kid just wanted to stop

i couldnt turn left that would be on coming traffic

i almost turned right into a parking lot but the truck was blocking the entrance and i would of gona over the lawn but.... telephone polll

before i knew it with my brake to the floor i hit his bumper and i see my hood curl under

i immediately screamed noo........ and slammed my fist into the steering wheel popping off the horn button

get this

it was older man and we find out later he lived on the road to the left he was stopped at. he just didnt have his left turn signal on.

but anyways his truck was unharmed maybe pushed his car 2ft then we both got out

i have a v6 in it and th radiator support was crushed in on the driver side.

hood bumper and left fender were destroyed

the radiator support compelety missed the engine cuz of that huge gap for the v8

his truck was fine might of tweaked his bumper but i couldnt tell. made me pay for a brand new one from the factory instead of a junk yard

anyways no one was hurt. was completely my fault.

i wasnt joy riding wasnt driving like a jerk,

just was goign to pick up a friend and couldnt slow down going down hill.

my dad had surprised me, and had a guy fix the car as a college graduation present. when i got back home i decided to do my part and completely restored the carmine red interior.

and the car is back to nearly perfect condition, front end parts are lined up as good as we could get.

and i still own it and drive it.

anyways thats my friday the 13th story
