Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
I know this topic has been talked about alot. But what are the best and what the worst? Do they still make Rallye Double Bladed wipers? Do the Rain-X Latitudes/Trico Neoform style wiper blades work? I am looking for some double bladed wipers. Is Rallye still in business?

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
I'd reccomend anything but those "double blade" wipers. Hell, even a plastic bag over the bar arm would probably last longer than those things. Bosch Icons won't attach to our pin style wiper arms. Which means you can either swap wiper arms or go with another manufacturer like Trico that makes a blade called the Neoform that is similar. I haven't tried it but it's built the same, not saying anything for quality.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
Those things are junk and look dumb too in my opinion. If you want the best wiper blade, go buy the AC/Delco blades from the dealer. Those are the best blades I've found that work with the pin style. I really like the Bosch Icons, but as iansane said, they only work with the newer hook arms.

By no means a bolt on mod, but subtle and simple.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
I was think about this today, as the rainy season is coming up. I have never used AC/Delco blades but I've used many AC/Delco parts so I well probably try those out but nothing grabs my attention more then an upgrading swap.
So I'd like to know more about a wiper arm swap if anyone has done it!
-edit-
I was to slow to post
Would 4thgen wiper work. Would they have the new pin style and the shape?

I just checked and it seems that the 1998-on Camaro is able to use ICON Front wiper blades. But not the 1993-1997.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
The 93-97 fbodies use a weird blade. It's a hook style, but reversed. The 98-02 have the standard hook style but they're LONG.
If you just wanted to swap the whole arms I have no idea what you'd grab them off of. I pulled mine off of an early 90's cutlass or bonneville or something, not sure.

Classic has Havoline Silicone wiper blades, but they are unversal fit. From 14-22 inch lengths, 10-$12.I remember buying these several years ago, but not from them.I forget who from, but they are still working very well.Except one leaves a streak across the windshield. They are about 5-6 years old though.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
I realize this does little good for those south of the border, but I run Motomaster (Canadian Tire Brand) Reflex wiper blades on all three of my current vehicles, as well as past vehicles. They're blades that don't have the usual metal hinge mechanism..they're very flexible, and don't ice up in the winter. They also hug the window, and are a lower profile than most of the usual design wiper blades, reducing chatter at speed.
I think Armor-all and RainX both make blades of a similar design, though, so shopping around might be your best bet. I've had nothing but luck.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
I have the Trico Neoforms on my Firebird and they work well. After selling almost every brand of blade from my shop I think the best are the originals from the dealer. They last the longest.

9 out of 10 wipers I sell are A/C Delco blades, not the original (which are typically made by trico). The AC blades, SUCK.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
i swear by the rain-x latitudes. i've had them on my '83 for over a year and a half and they still wipe like they're brand new. i have a replacement set but i still don't need them. they're a little pricey but it's worth it.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
By far the best blades I've used of late are the PIAA ones. they have lasted the longest and had the most chatter free operation over the years. I've tried silicone treated blades, factory original (second best option for me), and just about every other combination. My PIAA's have been excellent and lasted a long time (nearly 2 years now). Not sure they are great snow blades for those with that concern, but for the little bit of snow we get here they have been fine.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
Silblade is supposed to be the better than PIAA and lasted two years as well. I found a review for Silblade

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
The first gen Trico's with the single piece assembly (I believe it was called innovision) sucked major. They lasted about a month and then the rubber blade separated from the assembly.
The newer Neoform ones are very good though. I've had them on my car about a year and a half and they are still working very well. Definitely worth the money. I have the Icon's on my other vehicle and can tell a very slight difference (the icons are a touch smoother, but they are also on a better engineered arm) but it is definitely not worth swapping the arm out for.

Re: Best Double Bladed Wiper Blades
Don't have to worry about snow here in Florida, But there's a Helluva lotta rain! I use the PIAA blades on my Truck, (Combined with the Rain-X Spray on stuff) and sometimes, I forget it's raining.
Double bladed wipers are dorky and Don't do much more than kill wiper arms, and waste your money... Just use that money on the NeoForms or PIAA's.
