I've become a usual suspect in these threads by now. Here's mine as it sits currently. still needs lots of little things attended to.

JeremyNYR, after painting the engine bay in pewter, how do you like it as far as flowing with the car? My car is white too and I have wanted to do the pewter engine bay for about 4 years and havent found time to pull the motor and do it right. Also how much does it show dirt compared to the original white? What type of paint/clear did you use to paint it to hold up to the chemical and heat abuse the area gets? Thanks in advance for any tips you can give because I think that looks ultra badass with that color and a nice clean motor! Maybe next summer....

The color is actually Chrysler Bright Platinum Metallic, but it's very similar to the GM pewter color. I don't really think of it as going well with the beige body color and didn't really intend for it to. When I have the money and finish some body modifications, I plan to have the whole car painted Platinum. As for the type of paint, I had a shop do it but I don't think they did anything different in the engine bay than they would on the rest of the body. I've done my best to minimize exposure to any fluids, especially when reinstalling the braking system.
It's pretty good at hiding dirt/dust, although I try to keep it pretty clean. I washed it 2 or 3 times over the summer. The biggest thing I think the new paint did was point out how everything else has to be brought up to par. My TPI looks crappy now, my spark plug wires really need to be replaced with black ones and routed better, and several other things stand out. If it were old paint, everything would look just fine as it is.

I guess that's true, but I still feel ashamed everytime I pop the hood for someone.
It was horrible when I bought it, BONE STOCK. That and squirrels and cats lived under the hood. Im just a perfectionist I guess. I took it for a test drive and heard a horrible noise. Damn squirrel tangles in the smog pump belt. YUCK.

sinister youve been popping up lately around the web and i absolutly love the car!! those motor pics really do inspire me. im digging the braided hoses for the ps pump, heater hoses, and radiator catchcan. the chromed upper rad hose looks awesome too because of all the things you have polished.
where did you get that ps pump bracket and do you have a part # by any chance??
BTW how is it driving without power brakes???
