I had to vote Stingray, he actually used video footage from my site. And he even used my favorite burnout footage of my car

I suppose that my suggestion to you would have been to submit some footage.

If you are experiencing playback problems it is because your media player is out of date or does not have the correct decoder.
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Nimo-Codec-Pack--build--B-Download-2070.html to download Nimo's Codec Pack. This also includes the Classic Windows Media Player which actually works better than their new stuff.

I even installed the Nimo codec pack and still nothing.
Why create a video in a format people can't play??
How do I view the AVI vid? Please advise.

I chose to encode it using DIVX that way people on Macs and PCs can view it. (Even though a few folks on both sides wouldn't know how to use it.) In my experience, I've also found that DIVX compresses everything better making the file easier to download.
Stingraye chose to encode it as a .wmv, which makes it very easy to use for windows users. However much more difficult for mac and linux users.
Neither way is correct or perfect, it's all about preference.

What happened to generic MPEG codecs? MPG and MOV files can be played almost anywhere in the world. I agree, WMV is a big pain, especially for 90% of the world that doesn't use XP. I agree with your view on DivX but it's just a big pain in the behind to install extra codecs that don't even work. I have four computers here at work: XP, XP, 2k, 2k. None of them can play the video even after I installed the codec. Not a good statistics.

stingray all the way. drifting shot, dragracing shot, slow cruising shot, high speed pass shot, exelent cuts for an amature video, synchronised with the crappy music. and of course alot of lame *** burnouts.
no shameless titty shots.
both did well though.

Thaks for the compliments guys. I had a lot of fun making the video this time around. I really liked DigitalMonarch0's video as well, I knew he would be good competition which made it all that much more fun to know I had to do a good job. As far as the burnouts and such, like a couple of you mentioned it all in the video selection that we had to work with. All in all I think both videos came out well for really trying to do this whole thing pretty quick and having a limited library to use. Thanks again guys, always glad to add more thirdgen related media!

My intro? It was actually just a series of incremental pictures that I faded into each other. It took me nearly as long to get the whole intro right (right picture size, right time on the fades, etc) as it nearly did the whole rest of the video! But it was worth it.

Alright first off great job to both of yous. I feel this competition as being alittle unfair because one video was made awhile ago (digi). I have to admit I watched that video so much I can tell you every part of it. Everyone likes a new video since older ones will get a little boring after awhile. My vote goes to dig just because of how the video was put together. The transitions, the music it was all great, has a good feeling to it. Good job dig more power to you

neither are working for me and i downloaded both codecs, For the first video i just get a teal firebird with an LS1 and it stays on the picture the whole video, and video #2 gets abour 1/4 the way through and says its corrupted. this is becoming very frustrating for such a simple task

What are you trying to play the second file (mine) in? It's just a standard .wmv because I figured 98.2% of the people on here would be using windows. That's the first i've heard anyone having a problem watching mine, only thing I can figure is something happened 25% into the download that screwed it up, in which case just try downloading it again, shouldn't really be any tricks to it. Goodluck, sorry for the frustration.

My computer did the same thing with his video too. Once I downloaded divx player, and the divx codecs, I went back and played it in Windows media player. A lil divx task tray icon would pop up while it was playing in WMP to show it was using the codecs, and that was how I got it to play the best.

Hehe saw my car twice in DigitalMonarch0's vid but.... even with the divx player, it was still screwed up looking. (maybe I have too old a version) Liked the drag racing in Stingraye's and the fact it played with no problems. I vote Stingraye.

i voted for stingray. i liked how u made the black and the red camaros doing donuts kinda link together...(dunno if that made sense or not). urs had some better footage as well. digital monarchs definately had the better soundtrack. i liked how u made the pics flash witht the beat of the song. that was cool.

Both were good videos.
Voted for Stingrays vid though, since it was put together a bit nicer.
My Speedo clip was in Monarch0's vid and there was a pic of my car in the title sequence.

My video's song was by Killswitch Engage - The End of Heatache. I believe DM's song was by Rob zombie - Demon Speeding.

Switchfoot, was in neither video. Monarch had M. Manson, and Rob Zombie as said.
I voted stingraye. But both vids were awesome
