Pictures of my new 89 Vert Project!
I bought her off a member of another f-body board who had her for about a year and didn't have the time for a complete project car. I would definatly buy another car from him and he's always welcome to come take her for a spin. I havn't put a whole lot more work into her since these last pictures were taken except I've got the whole passanger compartment dynamatted every single inch! I have brand new black carpet ready to go in and I repainted the half gray/black interior pieces with krylon fusion black again. If you havn't tried that stuff I give it 2 thumbs up the plastics look awesome I'll get some shots of the dynamat and plastics later. With shipping back to Ohio I paid around a total of 2,000 for this car but I think it was well worth it. My uncle actually lives in Vegas where she was and looked at her for me before I purchased and helped load of a transmission he gave to me and helped the guy get her on the truck. The truck driver was very cool and met me in town and helped reinflate the flat tires and get her on our tow for the way home. She has no motor yet...
Pictures can be seen here I'll also link a few. http://members.hmcltd.net/joe/

A little off topic but, on your blue iroc I notice the hatch looks out of alignment. Is it like that on both sides or just one side? I only ask because mine does the exact same thing and it annoys me something fierce and I want to fix it.

Yes, my hatch pull down was broken. It would get about 1/6th of the way down and seize. I drove around couple days like this order new plastic covering from Top-Down Solutions and gear nut and plastic guides and fixed it right up!!! The snow has semi melted around so I should be able to get some shots of the dynamat and the new black plastics. The sucky part is my garage is only a small 1 car garage at my apt so can't really work on it during the winter unless I find a good sized heater. I'll get some other shots for you guys tonight hopefully. I'm basically tearing the thing down to the ground and rebuilding it exactly the way I want it and the reason I decided to go with the Vert was because everyone has a t-top/hard top car not very many verts are still around.

nice! good thing its not only me getting a new camaro!
got a question about the krylon fusion paint...I have been looking on ebay for black plastic interior pieces to replace my red ones. So my question am i better off painting the red ones black? ive used some interior paint before and it blowed it scratched off with my finger nail. If you could give me the steps u used thatd be great and how it turned out.
theres a really nice red iroc convertable around here and its about the only nice third gen ive seen except for mine now!
third gens are scarce here...

I borrowed some dental surgical latex gloves from my moms dental office. Used alot of glass cleaner and a toothbrush to clean the parts especially the sill plates. Scrubbed um till you couldn't get anything off them anymore. I made sure I used alot of glass cleaner so the paint would stick well. Then I just lightly from a distance painted over them multiple times. The black I used is a real glossy black. Like I said I'll need to grab some pics and you'll really know what I mean.
