i think they look better. Good choice , If you wanted to do something really awesome you could cut out spots in the bumper and then mount them that way .

I agree. Everything about their shape matches the 3rd gen body lines. Nice and wide, short, and square. I think they look great.

I gotta say, I like them both equally. Then again, I'm a bit partial....especially due to the fact that if I ever saw your car in person I'd probably immediately do something like this: :hail:

i think its better looking then kandieds as well...if i had to pick to 3rd gens (outa the ones i'v seen) to go head 2 head for the title of best third gen...it would prolly be those two.

thanks for the kind words guys...but..let's not get this off topic...I'm not here to make enemies or anything

Top 10 reason's why I'm changing the tips:
1. Just not on TGO, but all together, the round, long tips are just way over done..and I see them way to often.
2. I'm going for a more updated, sleeker style
3. The quad tips are a little crooked...and almost impossible to get them dead straight
4. In most cases, different=good if it's done tastefully and not over done
5. I think the 4th gen style fit the contour of the 3rd gen body a bit better and flow with the lines of the car
6. Four 3 1/2 inch tips out the back...isn't that a little to much? Sure it was cool for about a month...but after that...they got old really fast
7. I was getting alot of negative responses about them...some on here...and some at shows...and that told me something
8. Stainless will not rust
9. I wanted exhaust tips that don't stick out like a sore thumb
10. Because no other 3rd gen around here has them.

That's exactly it! Do it cause you want to. Nothing wrong with customization. I like both exhaust tips, but I think its kinda cool that you can take parts from a 4th gen and put them on a 3rd gen.

I am glad you decided to go with those tips. I remember you asking about them a few weeks ago. Nice choice, there is no doubt these tips compliment the lines of our cars the best. You wont be disapointed when they are installed. Oh yeah, I love mine.

thanks guys, I just cut off my quad tips...now I have to wait till next spring to get the 4th gen tips installed. Anyhow, when I cut the tips off....it REALLY reduced the tone and volume of my muffler...it was hard to believe....very very quit.

The way the 4th gen tips are made...seem like they will really crank up the volume.....they almost act like little speaker boxes

I thought they where stainless steel, Some are polished and some are painted Black. But I think there all stainless. The set I started to polish was painted black.

Those tips can look really good, (******* car). But they have to be tucked tight to the bumper and not stick out to far. If not done right they look good at some angles not so good at others.

Post the pics when you get them on.

Wow, you got those on the day you got them huh? I just got mine in the mail today, but I had to rush off to work so I couldn't put them on.

I hope that the same thing doesn't happen with me with the alignment, I guess I will see on Monday or Tuesday.

Sounds like you need to find a better place to have the work done. If they went to all the trouble to weld them on. Knowing that it wasnt right in the first place. The person doing the work has no pride in what there doing. I never let anyone touch my car unless i have to.
