Was crusing down a local street when I saw the following:
Normally, I wouldn't even look twice (perhaps to prevent injury to my retinas)...but then I noticed something:
(sorry for the blurry pic)
Interesting mod. I think this is the first I've seen where the hood/headlamp doors were solid. Diamond in the rough, perhaps?
Enjoy.

I'm a fan of the sidepipe idea, I think they look great. As for the headlights.... I'm kinda skeptical, but, to each their own.

Camaro hoods won't fit on 'Birds I thought. Wonder if it's anyone on here??
but those sidepipes guess its one way to battle the duel exhaust issue (kidding of course)

Good Lord. Thanks, there goes my dinner. BARF!
Some people just don't get the concept of backspacing, let alone tasteful modifications.

Its definately something to get use to. But I think it has potential. Gives the car some more grunt in the looks. Probably a lot of work to get it done right. Besides, it beats those damn flip up lights that always have issues. I swear, they have a mind of their own.

LOL @ some of the replies.
Yeah, I saw the car and was thinking "yuck" until I spotted the reflection of the headlights. I snapped a couple pics for the folks on here that are always talking about doing this mod.
It appears that the headlight door 'lids' were welded/smoothed to the hood - before the hood scoop was 'glassed in there. Just at a glance it looked very well done.
Since I didn't see/talk to the owner, I'm going to hope this is a work in progress.
Lastly, no - I wasn't driving my thirdgen because she is undergoing a LG4 -> TPI transplant. Hopefully she will be back on the streets very soon.

the first car looks like one hell of a sleeper, hopefully there is a reason for the sidepipes.
The second is a definite puke. Nice headlights though.

Wow...
Both cars in the pics look good with the headlight mod... But both seem to have made a wrong turn afterwards, ESPECIALLY the second one!

if someone was to make a bolton easy application identical to those lights ide pay like 100-150 dollars labor for the easy bolt on. the fog lights cost like 40 a pair thats 80 so to make brackets, ide pay $300 for some custom fixtures like in the pic.. the picture has some ugly lights ide want something fabbed out another cars setup a little more sleek.

forgot pic.. my popups are so ugly... including have u ever stuck yer hand out the window going 80?? there is alot of wind resistance hitting those lights! try sticking a piece of plywood the size of 2 lights out the window.. you will loose your arm and the plywood.. ive been waiting to fab some new lights mine are so fugly i cant standthem... i feel like a truck driver... HONKKKK HONKKKK!! these lights in the picture are still and improvement over the stock... ide wanna throw atleast some tinted lexan instead of the clear and make blackouts that would be tight as hell.
has anyone tried to photoshop some round bmw headlights recessed back past the radiator suppost? like the picture but with 2 sets of round lights.

Lights look they could be off a mid '90's Pont. G/P GTP or Olds Cutlass Supreme. Always liked the way they looked and I really like they was they look on the second car. But I had to hold a piece of cardboard up to my monitor so I wouldn't see from the a pillars on back.

OMG!!! I saw this exact car driving down Grand Ave. in Des Moines, Iowa just a few weeks ago. I about snapped my neck off trying to see if it was a joke or for real... It was actually a really clean custom as far as work goes, but the ideas completed on the sides and rear are, um... out in outer space...

creative on the headlight idea i guess. the car in the first pic the, red firebird has the same factory paint and stripes as mine. red with the grey on bottom and a black and orange stripe seaperating the red and grey. car looks pretty rust free too.

If you sit quitely on your porch in illinois on an evening such as tonight you can hear all the detroit iron slowly rusting in a quite yet piecefull way as if it is crying you to sleep .......

Its true! Finding a car without rust here in IL is like finding a needle in a haystack! The only cars with out rust are ones that are both cared for, and NEVER driven on the roadways.
Hell, my moms 99 Kia has rusted starting in on it! Granted, its only surface rust, and a little bubbling; but rust is rust.
Now my GTA on the other hand. That came from California.
