My New 1990 IROC-Z

Hi Everyone,

Having read just recently about cars owned by prominent members simply disappearing from the board (https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=239508) I wanted to let eveyone know that I now own TRAXION's beast. I have always loved the car and jumped on the chance to buy it as soon as I saw it for sale.

Here is a few pics put together (along with my '92 Formula). I have a few other pics I can show if desired.

Thanks everyone. I just want to make sure the car stays a part of TGO (as did TRAXION). I want to make sure it has a great home, too, and I have always loved the car from the beginning.

Yes it does sound awesome. Having heard it in person, finally, I am just in awe of the car. TRAXION's work is incredible...I mean that seriously. His level of detail just astounded me.

It would be nice to do that, too. It will be difficult for me to do that, but who knows. Obviously this is the fastest car I've ever owned/driven. The previous fastest was a fairly consistent 12.5 second car that I drove occasionally.

I almost missed it, too!! I just happened to see this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=234593 (THANK YOU RBob). If I hadn't seen it I would never have known. I wasn't looking for a car at the time so I never would have seen it in the classifieds. Anyway, the thread above is where he describes why he put it up for sale.

I wouldn't have sold it either. But he doesn't live too far away from me and he can see it anytime he wants. If I were ever to sell it I promised him first rights to the car, too. He's a class act, I owe that to him.

Tim is one hell of a guy ya know it? Selling that car for $8k. He is a realist as he said though. You actually stole that car from him. In any case, congrats on the new ride man. You got the deal of the century. Sorry to see Tim leave us. He will be missed.:hail: :hail: :hail:

Tim will definitely be missed. It was an honour to have met him. His mind is always working, the knowledge in him is...well...simply amazing. I learned more from him in a few hours than I learn generally in two years! I hope he continues to come around TGO.

Thanks FLYNLOW92rs. I love the car being a sleeper. That was one of the key things about the car for me, it looks stock (except the gauges and megashifter) so until someone hears the cam they would never suspect that with Tim driving it got an 11.6 @ 117 time slip!
