Best firebird to own
I'm searching for another firebird for my daily driving car. I need some opinions on which model and style I should be looking for. I would prefer 90 to 92 year.
Thanks in advance

well, if you don't care about acceleration, then go for a base firebird with a 3.1.... but be prepared to crave more power..... or you could find one thats got an LO3 for some more throttle response and quicker acceleration.... these cars will probably be the best deals you're gonna find... you're gonna spend significantly more for a t/a or moreso on a gta of these years....
just keep an eye out for cars that have a reasonable amount of miles on them, or if they are a single owner car in decent shape...

I'll keep an eye on the details and mileage wise. I'm not looking for any V-6's, gotta to have 5.7 TPI in it that's all I need I have my 84 firebird that I can play with power. I just want a decent and good looking car to drive daily.

Wow nice replies!! Yeah I sure left out the Firehawk and turbo T/A cuz they were too expensive to get. I know those two are pretty much the top two firebird ever produced. 91 Formula as pictured is just excatly I was searching for! Nice car by the way

Hey guys I found this red trans am with black honeycomb wheels and 81,000 miles. It's 5.7 tpi auto. It just needs front tires, alignment and new aeroing wing it's cracked. They're selling it for 3,500 dollars what do you guys think?

I know I know GTA is way up the top of the list. It's looking tough to find. Should I just be patience and wait for one to pop up somewhere?

My bad it's 91 Trans AM, they wanted 4200 in cash it was my mistake so I went there today to try to lower the price to 3500 he won't so I give up on it.

If i got a 'bird, I would only get a Formula 350... they were really the 3rdgen "stripper musclecars" because they didn't have alot in the way of luxury, they were meant to go fast.

Car: 1991GTA, 1991 Formula 350
Engine: L98/ L98

Axle/Gears: 3.23 x 2
How bout a wife and a mistress, let's say 92 GTA, black, leather, L98, no t-top's (I think the only way they came). Red 92 Formula, cloth, t-tops, 5 speed LB9 with performance pkg (may have been standard?) I say 92 vice 91 because GM finally got around to using adhesive in addition to the spot welds to greatly reduce noise. Honorable mention, 1990 Gunmetal grey GTA, or a black 90 Formula 350.

Yep got to have an 350 TPI not an 305! I've been searching for the past 4 days and there's plenty of them to buy. But most of them are over 4500 which is little to high for me. I'm looking for something under 4 grand and low mileages. It's looking to be the formula and GTA will be the best choice.

Turbo! Turbo! Turbo!
Nothing is sweeter than blowing off the doors of other cars, as you listen to the music of your choice, driving that little V-6! Like Vipers!!
And, the prices seem to be going up a bit too!
Speaking from experience,
George
