Polished vs Chrome
I want to get new Z06 wheels for my camaro and I want them to shine. I know polished is cheaper than chrome, but is chrome worth the extra money or will I be just as happy with the polished if I keep them well maintained? The main goal is not to spend a **** ton of money and still have look looking wheels. Thanks.

if you keep em polished, the alum will be just as shiny if not more then chrome... and it wont have that "chrome" shine to em... but the nice deep true metal polish shine.
go look at some 2000+ C5s with em... NONE of them are chrome, they're all alum.

chrome is great, or should i say WAS great 40 years ago. Chrome IMO has a cheap plated look because thats what it is. Polished aluminum gives the deep shine that the metal has naturally and looks much much cleaner on a car.

Polished is better IMO. Once you get them Zoopseal them. When done right you cant even tell that the zoopseal is on there. The only downfall is the price 130.00 to cover 70square feet. I've asked and asked them if they would make a smaller zoopseal kit since nearly everyone doesnt want to spend that much on zoop when they dont have but 20-30 square feet to cover.
Even with those setbacks, zoopseal is still the best protective clear coat for polished parts that I have come across so far.
It lasts 2-3 years. The only thing you have to do is clean the surface with soap and water when ever it gets dirty. No worries of your part oxidizing anymore.
I polished this intake and zoopsealed it.

Go polished. Chrome has a cheesy "bling bling" shine to it. Although I gotta admit, a couple small things on my car are chrome...but the majority is polished aluminum.
