Hi Dan!
Man, your house looks smaller and smaller in every picture!!
Still looks good though!! 350, huh? I'd go turbo V-6! Did you ever check out that one by you in NJ?
Have a good one,
George

Lol, George, that house is across the street from a friend of mine. It used to be a dog kennel that had some serious enovations. I didnt go turbo V6 because I dont feel like switching over to EFI. A carbed swap is a bit easier. I did look at that 84 parts car, but it went for a little over $300.
I have a ton of stock and modified 84 T/A Pics Ive gathered off of the net over the past few years. I could post those also, but I dont know where to give credit...
I dont know whose car this is or where the pic came from...but it is very sharp.

Chris here are some more combinations I have seen in person and in pics on W62 cars. I may repeat some of the ones you had listed.
The first color is the primary body color, the second color indicates the color of the lower body stripes and ground effects.
I am sitting here with a giant 3'x5' 1984 Dealer wall chart...
White/black (White 11)
White/silver
White/gold
White/white 15th Anniversary model. (Blue pinstriping)
Red/black (Red 75)
Red/silver
Red/gold
Blue/black (Blue 27)
Blue/silver
Black/silver (Black 19)
Black/gold
Black/black Recaro TransAm (Gold pinstriping)
Silver/black (Silver 17)
Grey/silver ("Grey" is silver sand met. 15
Brown/gold (Brown 67)
These are just off of the top of my head. And only applies to aeropackage cars I have seen (either in person or legitimate pictures) I will add more color combos as I think of them...
Pontiac had 22 different colors available in 84. (Four were exclusive to the Fiero, clear coat finishes)
Their are a ton of combinations available on S/E's and regular birds, thats why I will try and limit the list to aeropackage cars for now...

I have found alot of parts on Ebay. 82-84's are tough to shop for right now because most companies make parts for 85-92's. I have found a good amount of original parts just by asking around. I try to buy NOS and mint parts. Swap meets are also good, although, they are usually hit or miss. Every now and then the local junkyard will have an 82-84 Bird'.
Phil: what is your 84 T/A Like? (Ground effects, interior, exterior, t-tops, drivetrain?)

my t/a is a v8 305 ho with carb ttops all stock interior and exterior it looks exactly like the 4th pic that chris 84ta put on here on 7-11-03 its the briar brown with the gold ground fx im just trying to restore it to stock with no mods cause its a daily driver.
it has the 700r4 tranny (that needs rebuilding cause its slipping and leaking but it still runs and drives good. i have order a lot of parts off of ebay but they are just odds and ends nothing expensive. but a police officer i work with found a 82 recaro t/a while on patrol that a old lady has under her garage. we are suppose to go see about it this weekend. i dont know if it runs at this time but ill let yall know.

My '84 T/A project car. It only has 84,000 miles and was garaged and well taken care of its whole life. The car had a small fire under the hood due to an improperly repaired carb. I bought the car for the small sum of $200!!

on behalf of my buddy, Dale, here are his 84 Trans Ams.
A 15th and a Reacaro (oddly enough its his 2nd recaro)
Both cars are from the US. The 15th has Edlebrock headers (wotu AIR), Dynomax exhaust, a chip and rejetted carb. Sounds really mean.
Both cars are also 5 speeds. I have driven both and they are the best 3rd gens I have ever driven. Really tight. Night and day between the 2 though....the WS6 handles awesome and is loud, while the Recaro rides like a Caddy and is quiet too.

Both are very nice rides. Thanks to this thread many '84 Recaros popping up and most of them are in pretty good condition.

I have a semi-complete set of the 84 T/A W-62 ground effects, including the solid nose panels
the drivers side rocker skirt is damaged and not fixable, aside from that all the other pieces are in decent shape

A long time ago I had the oppurtunity to buy a 1984 recarro trans am, the car was in duluth minnesota, was owned by some kid in the merchant marines, I could have had it for 15,000 the car had 850 miles on it, this was in 1985, when they were new I must say they were indeed one fine a$$ looking car, anyways the deal never became and a few weeks later I purchased a 1984 red/gold fully loaded trans am with 3,000 miles, I still own this same trans am, unfortunately california emmision has pretty much sealed its fate to being parted out, right now its still in very nice condition, I have also pondered with dropping a LS-1 and a six speed in it or a grand national motor
