F-Body Muscle Car pics!
It seems most of the people here are going for the low, sleek look, with 17" or larger rims, etc. Which is cool, but I was just wondering if anyone is still going for the raw muscle look; jacked up in the back with small rims and big tires... (what people may refer to as the "*******" look)
I'm not saying I don't like the "new-car" look, I am a lover of all thirdgens, but It like the mean lookin' badass muscle machines too.
So lets see some pics!

Low and sleek. Specially for birds. Or if you have a 91,92 camaro, having the SS hood looks REALLY nice. At least, in my very humble opinion. I don't really have pics of any thirdgens setup that way, but I got some other cars. Some NICE cars. ^_^

I love the "raked" look. I have 15" with larger Raised White Lettering tires in the back than the front. I am just high enough to look muscle and just low enough to look sleek. Sort of middle of the road.

I had the fat tires and raised white letters too. I got a set of 16 formulas about a year ago so I got rid of the 15" I may go back though!

Well, I think the "muscle car" look can be pulled off on a thirdgen but it doesn't work on a lot of cars. First of all, I would say Nick's car (the yellow Trans Am) really doesn't have the "muscle car" look. I would say it is really more of the low, sleek look that started this post. The problem with the muscle look is that I really don't think it works well on cars with ground effects. The ground effects are supposed to give the car the low and sleek look and it doesn't look right when you raise the rearend. I think the best cars to pull of the "muscle" look with are the 82-84 Firebirds. The can look really tough with the right approach. I agree that there is a BIG difference between "muscle" and "*******". I have went with the "muscle" look with my '82 Firebird. It's all about keeping it clean and simple. I've had my car like this for eleven years and it still looks tough today. In fact, I think it is still the "toughest" looking thirdgen I have ever seen. (Although, I am a little biased.)

I carried over the "muscle car" look to the engine compartment as well. The engine is a '68 327 that sounds very tough. The engine compartment is painted black and it looks great with the Chevy orange engine. I have a Holley Projection on it so I was able to keep the carbureted look. The engine compartment is a little bit of a mess in this picture but you get the idea. The car has been in storage for about seven years and I've got a few things to straighten up.

VERY nice '77 T/A. Is that the Bandit edition Trans Am? That has to be my second most favorite car. Right behind the '71 426 HEMI 'Cuda convertible.

82Firebird: thanks for the compliment on my car. Being an artist I subscibe to the theory that "less is More".
LFN AT U: Having seen your car in person I agree that it is definetly "MUSCLE". in fact it is "SERIOUS MUSCLE".
I have photoshopped those dark pics of your and you can pick them up on the NWINDIANA/SO CHICAGO board later today.
Long live the muscle car.

There's a difference between "muscle" and "*******". Unfortunately, none of the "*******" car owners realize that.

"i get the "*******" treatment alot. but i like the way it looks."
Maybe its because my friends Ranger with the factory off road package front bumper was lower to the ground then your camaro.

I will change nothing about my car from it's original appearance. Under the hood is where I intend to change things. I really just like the appearance of the car the way it is. I may add a ram air hood when it comes time to paint it. But other than that I like it the way it is. Although many of the pics posted in this thread kick @$$.
