Does anyone use LUND -headlight- blackouts?

I got mine in the mail today...

They seem to be a little big... I thought maybe it was the headlight pockets were warped, and it still could be, but either way, they arn't fitting into the pocket like they should...

They attach much differently than the GTS ones... the GTS ones slide into a bracket, the LUND ones attach with velcro, two long stips on the sides, and a short strip on the bottom...

Can anyone offer advice? or am I going to have to pull off the rubber lining and dremel them a little bit?

I have a set put dont use them for that exact reason, they dont fit in the pocket. They are made to set outside, that way when you are driving the wind will hold them on, instead of sneeking into the pocket and pushing the cover off. If you dont like them I hope you can return them, sorry.

Ok, I played with them a little bit more today...

I trimmed some of the rubber tabs down so that it could actually fit over the pocket... However now when I observe them, it almost looks like they are -not- angled correctly... They are in a trapazoid shape, and need to be more "squished"...

I did my damnedest to get them in and square as best I could, and then shut the hood... they ****ing fell off... it seems when they are square over the pocket, they will hit the hood... when square with the hood, they are definatly not square with the front valence and actually hang off on the front corner of the vehicle...

I've noticed some thirdgens have that problem where the front valence does not come all the way up to the hood... is it posible LUND used one of these cars to test thier product? Cause these things sure as hell do not fit correctly on my sport coupe, and my front-end is original and straight...

Screw dremeling them... I'm going to give LUND a call and share a piece of my mind...

The top of the cover wont come to the hood, or you wouldn't get air into your engine (on my TBI the air comes throught the headlight pocket)

What I mean is, the top of the cover DOES come to the hood.. knocks it off when I close it...

Stupid PITA... plus I can't find LUND's phone number or e-mail address...

Looks like I'd better find my dremel, or that Z front clip I always wanted... :grumble:

Just the velcro more down, and you would be fine.

Then it wouldn't match at the bottom of the blackout.
