superram intake manifold

I was mocking and test fitting my supperram intake manifold and it wouldn't clear my 113 vette heads i noticed it had more material on the intake bolts thus not being able to clear is it ok if i grind them down a bit on the outside to make it flush like the oem intake manifold

Re: superram intake manifold

You'll be fine, just be sure to use a strong washer with each bolt that will cover the larger diameter of each bolt hole your increasing in size, just in case the bolts themselves that your using have smaller heads on them than what will now be needed. Unless you mean the sides of the intake are hitting the valve cover, then yes, just grind them down.

Re: superram intake manifold

Thanks for the help yes i meant the side of the manifold. I will slightly grind them down just enough for it to make a nice contact with the block/heads

pretty sure he's got the DFI spate. Either way I'm sure he will have it awhile at that price. Ridiculous
