some tpi and other intakes flow #

This maybe floating around here somewhere but thought some may find it useful that didn't know the flow #'s

TPI Intakes and runners

The following airflow tests were performed on the University of Northwestern Ohio's SuperFlow SF600 Flow Bench. All CFM values are corrected for airflow at 28 inches of water. Injector flow rates are flowed at 43.5 PSI on an injector flow bench using test fluid with same density as gasoline.

Re: some tpi and other intakes flow #

In regard to throttle bodies I think this is misleading (although true) Correct me if I am wrong but I think carbs are "flowed" at a different pressure drop. If I remember correctly it is like 1.5" of mercury. So that would convert to about 20" of water. I wonder what these throttle bodies would flow if tested in the same pressure drop as a carb? Obviously, it would be less.

Re: some tpi and other intakes flow #

Seen those same #s floating around the web for years
Have some interesting info that will be up soon flowing the last piece this week; The TPI or a SR at least can be made to be a 0 loss (or very very close) with the right work done.
I think some #s are inflated, others arent. Not a whole lot on these intakes in general.
Good post though

Re: some tpi and other intakes flow #

I came across this webpage a while back that has good flow and intake length measurements. Info you posted above shows stock TPI runner length at 7.25 inches. Link below says they are 11.25 inches.
