Fuel rail issue...

I have a 2013 edition Motown single plane intake.

I purchased Edelbrock rails that are advertised for Victor E SBC.

After I matched them up visually to intake it is clear they are close but obviously different.

FIC says injectors are tolerant to small differences in fitment.

I am not sure what to do as other rails may not be better. I diont see Motown rails anywhere. china rails are $80! Might fit!

Also the Edelbrock universal 4B TB linkage rubs on the rail w/o the cable attached. It is all on the bench right now. I need to shave .50 inch off the top of intake to provide .50 inch clearance to hood. That will make it worse!

ps Jegs told me I need blank fuel rails machined to fit intake?

comments?

UPDATE /16/14

I measured the intake and rails in injector placcement.

Only significant difference is that lenght from injector 1 to injector 7 shows the rails are about .12 inches off. However my measurement s may be a buiit off as well. LOL That difference appears to be spread over the 4 injector placements. May be just fine.

I found that the butterfly shaft nut in fact does not rub. I plan on shaving .50 inch off the top of mani so that will place the interfearance area at center above the nut. That was good luck.
