T-RAM for Vortec heads?

What do you guys think of converting the SLP T-RAM lower intake manifold for fitment with Vortec style heads? Back when I was planning my heads/cam swap, I originally wanted to go with the Aluminum Fastburn heads but they had the Vortec style intake ports and bolt pattern. My current T-RAM had extra aluminum welded to the corners to facilitate gasket matching to a Felpro 1205 gasket but I wonder if extra aluminum can be welded all around to allow for matching to the larger Vortec ports?

I was thinking of doing this to my second T-RAM since the lower intake manifold of that one needs repairs anyway. There's a small crack around one of the middle intake manifold bolts and will need to have aluminum welded in and be redrillled. Thoughts?

I think i'm going to have my machinist do it since the lower intake needs welding repairs anyway. Would be an interesting experiement. The Fastburn heads are what I wanted from the beginning but ended up with Trickflow 195s.
