suggestions for fuel injection setup
Hope this is the right section. Im thinking about switching to fuel injection over the winter. I have performer rpm/holley dp set up now. Can someone that has done the swap make suggestions to whats the best setup. Rest of my combo is in my signature. Ive been looking at accel dfi and holley. Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: suggestions for fuel injection setup
There are lots of options. I personally like the setup that anesthes is using currently. see;"I miss singleplane intakes" in this forum. I am copying his setup for my T/A and putting a single rear-mount turbo to it. From what I can see, his setup will allow lots of future upgrades. You will need at least a stock tpi wiring harness, In-tank fuel pump/sender and ecm + sensors to do the swap. Everyone has their own opinion, but I think it will work best for me.
Good luck!

Re: suggestions for fuel injection setup
I like to be different... I dont like to pull up at the car show and have people say; "Hey, I just saw a setup just like that in super chevy..." Be careful and do lots of research, most systems are not emissions legal out-of-the-box. Also, there is always someone who will say "ah, I had one of those and ripped it out, because I couldnt get it to run right. Now I have a ^%#@$ and it is much better..." Etc...
Good luck!

What are you looking for from the swap? A RPM intake and 750 DP Holley is a pretty well rounded combination when everything is dialed in. The Holley StealthRam performs a lot like that combo in the midrange RPMS,,, but will add a little more top end. SuperRam or FIRST would add more midrange and if ported properly might not cost you any top-end over what you have now. You'll see little benefit if any under wide-open throttle switching to a single plane EFI than you would if you just swapped to a single plane intake and ran the carb. A lot of the fuel mileage and driveability improvements when converting to EFI comes as much if not more from the ignition curves your able to give the engine (assuming you can tune a carb to begin with).

Compared to a Performer with a DP carb, either of these intakes will be a serious improvement from a driveability perspective.

Re: suggestions for fuel injection setup
I have run all but the HSR on my personal cars. I ran the MRII when I moved to the 4" stroke, trying to kill some bottem-end TQ (unsuccesful). I currently run the SP set-up, and view this as the best manifold for my combination at the current time.
